I know for me some part of every article I put to good use FEEDING,TRAINING,BREEDING,LOFT MANAGEMENT,ETC I actually look forward to checking my e-mails just to see what being spoke about next. Most topics we already know but never implament them in our programs,Like not pulling the plug on breeding,Seperating the cocks and hens or even seperating young cocks and hens to get control of the race season,Every year breeding way to many birds only to lose a bunch we thought were great one’s,Over growding, Over medicating,Over feeding,Over training the list goes on and on. Thanks to Pigeon Insider I am back on track to where I think I can be sucessful from here on out
    THANKS AGAIN

Being new to raising and racing pigeons the information here is outstanding. i have had many questions starting out and there is no one in my area to ask, so i just go online and find the answers here. Without this the information here i would have been lost.

l reside in Malta and raced pigeons very successful in CANADA,with my partner Mr.Maurice Rochon, under loft registration, WAIT4MELOFT. I find the info in pigeon insider unique and most valuable. MY partner and,I hold the world records for most positions won in an open race, and in a combine race, and I state with great accuracy that pigeon insider is TOPDOG. For curiousity or interest, the world records established by my partner and I, are as follows. First ten combine positions from 500miles. First seventheen positions, and 20th to 27th position, from 360miles, in an open race. Best wishes and racing.

I love it! I’ve had “da boids” off & on for 30 yrs. I’m 49 now, started when I was 13 with my own coop. Mostly “Homers”, have had everything from “rats”-rollers-tipplers-fantails-nuns-pouters-etc!!!! I really enjoy the “beginner’s handbook”! always like to reveiw-renew things.Very happy with everything on your site, used to go to Middletown quite a bit as well! To the fair, as well as Tesa Tape when they were in business. We’re from NJ, for the last 13 yrs. we have been down here in “Amishland” central Pa.I go on The “AU” site too! just to “see” what’s up.

    Chris,
Thank you for all the hard work organizing and promoting all the material for the Racing Pigeon Sport.
I am almost retired and will be building my loft with two grandchildren. Cannot wait to get started. I raced and flew birds from Dodge City Kansas to Amarillo, Tx and it was a great experience. With the information available this is rewarding and fun sport for the entire family. All my birds came from Seneca,SC at that time. Proven birds from proven lofts. Great Sport

    Hey friends,

Thanks so much for the kind words and constructive critism. I agree about the new site I wanted to continue bringing you guys/gals more great features and value, but I do agree I think the new site got alittle too confusing for some. So I will be focusing on this blog again.

And I just want to clear the money thing up real quick as well. I was asking for donations because it would allow me to bring you guys more great content such as articles, videos, interviews and more as well as helping with building our community because by commenting to the articles we all help each other out. I know I have learned a few things from your great comments. I’ll make a post and talk more about it and open it up to discussions so we can discuss it.

Thanks again for commenting and letting me know what you think.

    Hi Chris
I am 42 and have had pigeons all my life. I have won many races over all distances, not to mention all the ones I lost, but one thing is for sure: Our sport can never be won; we are mere participants trying to beat each other. I am quite amazed how Pigeon Insider freely makes available information, which some fanciers in their life time could/would not be able to have obtained. I had to learn the hard way; none of the cracks gave their secrets away.Pigeon Racing was sort of cloak and dagger. Learning is now much easier and mistakes are less made thanks to Pigeon Insider.
    Pigeon Greetings
    Michael

  58. #61 by Mitch on September 16, 2010 - 11:44 pm

    Chris,

I commend you on your effort with the website. It is informative for the beginner but for me it is all rehashed information from other fanciers. I have read all of it from the original site, so when I get a newsletter of new articles I know I have read it already. They did all the hard work and you are taking all the credit. You need to be more original. No offense just my thoughts.

I really liked what you were doing – I agree with nick – I don’t think you should have changed it. I know we (humans) try to think of ways of trying to make things better – but why fix what wan’t broken. I really look forward to the articles and videos and info that is in the pigeon insider – and have found the new WPA frustrating. I can see where bloggers and tweeters might like it, but I’m not one of them. I hope to see the pigeon insider continue, but don’t look forward to everyone wanting to add me to WPA group. For the love of the sport, Jerry

I thought Pigeon Insider was just perfect the way it was. Plenty of great articles, pictures and information about anything you needed to know. I’m sorry but I just didn’t see the need for the new one. I find it confusing and now your asking for money. I’d rather pay the money to the way the insider was before W.P.A. came about.

Chris, I am a sponge for all ideas and opinions when it comes to all aspects of pigeon racing. Much of it can remind us of some of the things we might have drifted away from over the years. At 75 years of age, I am still looking for fresh ideas to apply to my racing and breeding experiences. Thank you very much for taking the time to supply the means for all of us to have a chance to improve. Charles

i am not a homer racing degenerate although i fly white homers and fancy rollers for the sport of it i could care less about that end of this sport. the insider is not marketed toward a guy like me and i wish you covered a wider rang of brides and breeds along with other materials and contacts information.

that being said, i can take it or live it at this point in time not that your publication is bad, its not however its for guys who have a lot of money in this economy to pump in to their sport that’s very competitive and i find that’s not my coup of tea.
